How does it change how we see this planet?

Suppose one day I was picked up from an airport by a limo and driven home. When I got out of the car I saw I was in front of a derelict house. I walked in and there was just total destruction and filth inside. 

 I could respond two ways:
Hopelessness - this is where I live. I have to do life in this!

Or

This is not my home! I don't live here. I'm not staying here. Take me to my real home!!

The first response is doing the Christian Life by living within my own efforts and capabilities. 

The second is realizing my inadequacy is irrelevant to Gods sufficiency. In fact It's more accurate to say God's extravagant availability. 

Suppose you had $20. And you had a friend with $20 million dollars. And your friend said "Lets go in partnership together 50-50. You put in your $20 & I'll put in my $20 million.  We'll start a company and be equal owners. 100% / 100%." 
That's what God did.

What I see on the news isn't my destiny....it's my assignment.
I'm a game changer. 
That's Kingdom Culture.

Encounter Jesus in the Noise

 In 2020, as a “grounded missionary, I was thinking in terms of “transition”. Everyone was pivoting to online, in person meetings were cancelled, life looked like adapt - adapt - adapt.  By January of 2021 I realized the “normal” I was waiting for probably wasn’t going to happen. This wasn’t just about “transition” from one season to the next. Something else was happening. Emotionally I felt adrift.  Soon after I met Merri Ellen Geisbrecht, a Christian Life Coach and Spiritual Director, through an online event for women who desired to encounter Jesus in a deeper way in the midst of the Noise.  I immediately felt this was a God opportunity. Walking on Water

I have a Matryoshka Doll (or nesting doll). I got it in Belarus. It is a doll in a doll in a doll etc. Each internal doll is an exact duplicate of the outside one. As I was looking at it a few weeks back I was thinking about my walk with the Lord. The Bible talks about our created purpose to be filled with the Spirit of God, to show His life to others – to reflect more of Christ and less of us. That’s an interesting concept “to be filled with His Spirit”. Joshua was described as ‘filled with the Spirit” because Moses had laid his hands on him (Deut. 34:9). Joshua was amazing in all that he accomplished with God. John the Baptist on the other hand was filled with the Spirit from his mother’s womb (Luke 1:15). He was used by the Spirit of God to prepare hearts for the Messiah. Peter being filled with the Spirit (Act 4:8-13) astonished the people who heard him speak because of the power and anointing of God. Summer Ministries

It has been and is continuing to be a great summer. We really enjoyed Rachael, our intern featured in Pirates of the Palouse, and the kids at the various camps and churches. One young man, Christopher, stands out in my mind. He had never been to church and was brought by a neighbor to camp where he gave his life to Jesus. Then began to read the bible for the first time. This particular camp had a Bible Quiz each night with teams competing. Christopher quized second highest! Unbelievable! Of course some of his answers needed a bit of translating. Like when the official asked who appeared to the shepherds and announced the birth of Jesus. Christopher replied, "A band of heavenly ghosts!" The judge accepted it.
