One winter I saw a wasp flying around inside the window of my apartment. I disposed if it but a few days later another wasp appeared. After disposing of the second one I asked God "What are you saying?" I looked in the Bible & saw where God used wasp/hornets to route out enemies hiding in caves. Exodus 23:28-30 (TNIV) "I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way. [29] But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you. [30] Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land." I thought He was talking about driving out my external enemies... But now I understand that when negative things surface in my heart - wrong attitudes - emotional bondages - I see these not as points of guilt ridden failure, but as enemies of my soul's prosperity being driven out in the open,

In a vision last October I saw a snowy mountain range in the distance with the highest peak in the center. A saucer white cloud was over the top. I wasn't sure about the meaning. This week I was looking online & suddenly saw the cloud shape. It was called a "lenticular" cloud. That is a moisture filled cloud - saucer shaped. Self-powered aircraft avoid them because of turbulence to rotor systems, but gliders seek them out because they are a rising air mass wave lift which is smooth & strong. This enables gliders to fly higher & farther. Current world gliding records for distance & altitude were set using such lift! I immediately felt God telling me in His presence (the mountain) I will go farther & higher (the lenticular cloud) not in my own efforts but just resting (glider) completely in him! Very cool! Since January of this year I have been enrolled in a distance learning course called "Leader Development Program". The course is from Bethel Church in California. Each month we deal with a particular theme. Interestingly our theme for May is "Risk and Faith". I was on staff under Roland Buck (Angels on Assignment). I will never forget the first Sunday he shared about the Angelic visitations. He was so transparent. God was asking him to lay down his years of reputation in the community, with his denomination, with his family... to be ridiculed, scorned, even to the threatening of his own life. He was a man who walked between heaven and earth, in the cloud of glory, a local pastor suddenly thrust onto an international platform. He was not an outstanding orator, not a super spiritual giant, not a polished packaged professional. The concept of Worship is packed with such an incredible variety of blessings, benefits, power, deliverance and advancement. I have always loved to worship - but I grew up with constraints on what that looked like. I bound my worship in commonly held views - none of which were actually about God, all of which were about me. Some constraints in my worship were "I don't know the song, I don't like my voice, if I dance or raise my hands people will look at me, I don't like that style of music..." Well, you get the idea.
